Palustris attempts to help the user avoid unwitting mistakes in the recruitment process by using intelligent alerts as a warning when taking an action that might be undesirable.

Multi Screen Operation
PALUSTRIS offers the user the ability to have multiple screens open at any one time within the application. Navigation between the screens requires a single click and allows the user to be working in more than one area at a time. For example, a Consultant may be entering the details of a new Vacancy when a Candidate calls to discuss an unrelated issue. Without having to close the Vacancy screen, the Consultant can open the Candidate’s screen to see the relevant information to allow them to have an informed conversation with the Candidate without having to close the Vacancy screen. Multi screen operation provides the Consultant with great flexibility in their working practices.
Multi Currency
PALUSTRIS incorporates the ability to hold multi currency information. Unlimited currencies can be set up on the system and user defined exchange rates can then be entered against them. All monetary fields in the system offer a currency selection so that you can specify, for example, the currency applicable for a given salary amount. The exchange rates would then be used by the system when, for example, comparing a salary offered by a Vacancy in one currency against a salary required by a Candidate in another currency.
SMS
In addition to email and mail merge facilities throughout, PALUSTRIS also
incorporates SMS functionality in all areas of the system. Messages can be
sent to individuals, whether they are Candidates or Client Contacts, asking
them, for example, to get in touch or updating them with some relevant
information. In addition, messages can be sent simultaneously to multiple
recipients; perhaps all Candidates that the system has ‘matched’ as suitable
for a particular Vacancy. As with emails and mail merges, all SMS
communications are automatically logged on the system against the relevant
Candidate/Client Contact records, ensuring that anyone using the system is
always fully up to speed with what has been happening.
